The main function of an X-ray high voltage generator is to supply direct current high voltage to the anode and cathode of the X-ray tube, as well as heating voltage to the filament. It mainly consists of a high voltage transformer, filament transformer, high voltage rectifier, high voltage switching device, transformer oil, and a housing that encloses the aforementioned components. The primary high voltage is stepped up by the high voltage transformer and rectified by the high voltage rectifier to become direct current high voltage, which is then fed to the anode and cathode of the X-ray tube through the high voltage cable. The primary voltage of the filament is stepped down by the filament transformer and fed to the filament of the X-ray tube via the cathode high voltage cable.
